New stem cell order excites groups

The Obama administration’s decision to reverse restrictions on embryonic stem cell research funding was a hard-earned victory for the many associations who lobbied hard for such a change. Now industry, medical and university groups all expect their members to benefit. At the moment, all eyes are on the National Institutes of Health, set to release the final version of funding guidelines July 7.
